1998 Shuttleworth Ocean Cheetah 37

This 1998 Shuttleworth Ocean Cheetah 37 catamaran was custom-built by SN Composites and completed in 2001. The fiberglass-hulled boat spans 37 feet with a 22-foot beam and was owned and liveaboard-cruised by a single owner who commissioned the original build. Twin Yanmar 2GM20 diesel inboards with approximately 350 hours of use power the boat through dual saildrives and three-blade Variprops.

The interior accommodates three sleeping cabins with a spacious salon offering good standing headroom. A dedicated head with separate shower, ample storage throughout, and a functional galley with a two-burner alcohol stove and custom refrigerator support comfortable cruising. The galley features a double stainless sink, hot and cold pressurized water, and arborite countertops.

Electrical systems center on a 650-watt solar array, an Aero-Gen wind generator, and a Village Marine watermaker serviced in 2017, allowing extended self-sufficiency away from shore power. Four Yellow Top Optima house batteries installed in 2016 store energy, supported by an inverter and both 110V and 12V receptacles. Navigation and communication equipment include a Standard Horizon chartplotter with 10-inch color display and AIS, VHF radio, autopilot, and an iCom 706 HF transceiver.

The deck features dual mast winches, three cockpit winches including one electric unit with remote, a hard fiberglass bimini with canvas dodger, and custom davits with an outboard motor lift. Sails include a mainsail, roller-furling genoa, gennaker, and spinnaker all from 2001. The boat carries fuel and water tankage totaling 42 and 36 gallons respectively, with a West Marine dinghy and Yamaha 8hp outboard included. The mast step shows delamination, and the hull would benefit from repainting.
