1998 Viking 50 Convertible

This 1998 Viking 50 Convertible is built on the builder's proven offshore hull design with twin MAN D2842 V12 twin-turbo diesel engines producing 1,200 horsepower each. The boat cruises comfortably at 30 knots and reaches speeds over 40 knots, with engine hours logged at 4,787 on the port side and 5,111 on the starboard. A 15kW Onan generator, twin Racor fuel filtration systems, oil transfer system, and engine synchronizers round out the mechanical installation. Reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating run throughout.

The three-stateroom, two-head layout centers on a full-beam master amidship with ensuite head, a forward VIP stateroom with over/under berths, and a guest stateroom to port with the same configuration. The galley features granite countertops, stainless Vitrifrigo refrigerator and freezer drawers, and a dinette with storage. The salon includes an OLED television, ultra-leather seating, high-gloss cherry cabinetry, and a washer-dryer combination in the companionway.

Electronics and navigation include dual Garmin 8616 GPSMAP displays, a 72-mile Garmin open array radar, Garmin sounder and XSV GPS, Simrad AP28 autopilot, FLIR night vision, Starlink satellite communications, Fusion Apollo stereo with Wet Sounds speakers, dual ICOM VHF radios, and a full onboard security camera system. The tower carries additional navigation electronics, and Mathers single-lever controls govern the helm.

The full-teak cockpit and covering boards showcase a custom Mariteak battle saddle, refrigerated fish boxes with cold plates, a cockpit freezer with dual thermostat, dual electric reel outlets, Rupp triple-spreader outriggers with center rigger, teaser reels, and a livewell. A windlass with foot controls, extensive rod holder layout, and cockpit sunshade complete the fishing platform.
