A 1998 Vilm 116 sailing yacht measuring 39 feet with a 12-foot beam. The fiberglass hull and deck laminate represent the proven build of the production model, paired with custom handcrafted interior joinery and numerous owner modifications since its 2002 launch. The hull carries biozid-free silicone antifouling renewed in 2022. Deck features teak running surface, rails, trim, and coamings protected by Coelan UV and moisture sealant. Large deck hatches and panoramic cabin windows flood the interior with light. A bow thruster with SPW system and separate battery—installed 2021—features both interior and exterior joystick controls for precise maneuvering.
The rig and sails underwent complete renewal in 2025, including mainsail wire, shrouds, and deck hardware. An electric furling forestay dates to 2018. A Garmin wind instrument displays live wind data. The sail plan comprises mainsail with roller furling, self-tacking jib, two genoas, and gennaker for reaching. A traveller rail with low-friction system supports single-handed jib changes. Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH4 diesel engine producing 55 horsepower, driving fuel and freshwater tankage of 300 liters each. The 12-volt electrical system includes starter, bow thruster, and service batteries in gel form, with a charger and inverter providing 230V shore power conversion.
The mahogany interior presents a salon with panoramic views and flexible berth configuration—the settee converts to a double berth. Forward and aft cabins hold substantial double berths fitted with comfort mattresses. The galley contains a two-burner gas cooker with oven, microwave, two sinks, and dual refrigerators. A single head includes a holding tank and both interior and exterior shower options. Five-kilowatt diesel heating supplies a 40-liter hot water tank and a dedicated LPG system.
Electronics center on a Garmin GPS plotter, radar, and AIS receiver. VHF radio, NMEA 2000 network, and iPad-based WLAN radar complete the suite. Dual steering stations—interior and exterior—both feature hydraulic remote control and autopilot. An electric windlass with anchor and chain, three electric winches, life jackets, life raft, fenders, and mooring lines complete the working inventory. A diesel service toolkit and spare parts are on board.
