Built in 1998, this West Bay 58 Sonship Pilothouse is a fiberglass pilothouse motor yacht powered by twin Detroit Diesel 6V92 engines producing 1,130 horsepower combined. The engines have been rebuilt and run just 1,700 hours. The boat cruises at 12 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 21 knots, with a beam of 17 feet providing a stable platform.
The interior layout features three staterooms and two heads, a configuration regarded as one of the best in the class. Recent updates include upgraded flooring throughout the pilothouse and galley, refreshed soft goods, new carpeting, and an upgraded refrigerator. The flybridge settee upholstery has been replaced, and the teak cockpit has been maintained.
The boat is equipped with stabilizers, a hydraulic bow thruster, diesel heating, reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating, and dual Northern Lights generators. Navigation and sonar are handled by an upgraded Garmin 8617 chartplotter. The exhaust system is new. The boat has been stored primarily on fresh water and presents accordingly.
