1999 Bavaria 42 Ocean

The Bavaria 42 Ocean is a centre-cockpit cruiser built for extended offshore cruising and comfortable liveaboard living. Her fiberglass hull combines solid construction with a practical layout that balances seaworthiness and interior space. The design suits couples and families planning long passages, with straightforward engine access and balanced sailing characteristics across a range of conditions.

The interior centres on a spacious saloon with good headroom and a generous layout. The owner's aft cabin includes an en-suite, while a forward double cabin has its own heads. The galley is equipped for use at sea or in harbour, and storage is distributed throughout. Recent upgrades include new interior upholstery and LED lighting, along with fans and a new calorifier with immersion heater fitted in 2023.

Recent improvements to the sailing and structural systems include new Quantum mainsail and 130% genoa sails from 2021, standing rigging replaced in 2019 with Selden OEM fittings, and teak decks recaulked and Coppercoated in 2021. The engine has been fully serviced with extensive preventative maintenance completed. Additional equipment includes an Ewincher electric winch, wireless anchor control system, a full heavy-duty winter cover and bimini with side panels. A SeaMax 2.7-metre tender with Mercury 3.5hp outboard from 2021 is included.
