This Murray Burns Dovell 62 was built by Sydney Yachts in 1999 and originally achieved success as a racing yacht. The 62-foot hull measures 15.88 feet across the beam and is powered by a single Yanmar 75-horsepower diesel engine fitted in 2018, with a sail drive added in 2020. A bow thruster was installed for easier berthing.
The yacht accommodates a large V-berth, and features two heads with pressure hot water in the galley. A swept rig with single backstay, bow prodder, headsail furler, and electric cabin top halyard winch support the sailing platform. Instrumentation comprises a comprehensive suite of B&G electronics.
The current sail wardrobe includes North 3Di upwind sails and two asymmetric spinnakers, all added relatively recently. The boat was refitted in 2023 with several new additions to the sail inventory and has been actively raced and campaigned through major events. The setup supports both racing and cruising use, with the yacht maintained in active condition.
