This 1999 Gibson 50' houseboat presents a spacious floating platform built on a fiberglass hull with a 14-foot beam, powered by twin Volvo Penta gasoline engines installed four years ago with minimal use since. The shallow draft design suits rivers, canals, and protected coastal waters. Maximum speed reaches 13 knots, with a cruising speed of 9 knots.
The interior layout includes two cabins and two heads, with a full galley equipped with refrigerator, stove/oven, double sink, and counter space. A large salon offers abundant natural light, and the boat features both an interior helm for all-weather operation and an upper helm for open-air cruising. A stacked washer and dryer are onboard, along with substantial built-in storage throughout the sleeping areas. The generous proportions provide the interior volume typical of Gibson houseboats designed for liveaboard use.
The boat is currently a work in progress. Interior areas remain unfinished, including open sections in the galley ceiling, and the interior décor is dated. Soft spots are present on the upper deck that require attention. The starboard fuel tank is not currently usable. The bow deck was recently repainted with stringers replaced to address previous soft spots in that area. These known items represent areas for repair and customization by a new owner.
The yacht includes wide side decks and exterior areas suitable for entertaining or relaxing. The boat is unnamed, allowing a new owner to personalize it from the start.
