The 1999 Hinckley Sou'wester 52 is a 52-foot fiberglass sailing yacht with a 14-foot beam, powered by an 88-horsepower Yammer diesel engine. Built with custom features beyond the standard series specification, this boat was designed as both a capable singlehander and a comfortable cruising platform. The hull and systems have been maintained consistently over the years, with indoor storage and regular upkeep by Dodson Boatyard in Stonington, Connecticut.

The yacht features a two-stateroom interior with custom detailing throughout. Below deck are two heads and luxurious accommodations suited for extended cruising. Topside, a carbon fiber mast and boom support electric in-mast mainsail furling for easy handling. Additional systems include a retractable bow thruster, a generator installed in 2022, and air-conditioning.

The boat carries recent sails and updated electronics. The deck is waxed and maintained smoothly, with canvas and hardware kept clean and functional. All systems and components, including seacocks, have been serviced regularly. Annual maintenance includes varnishing, hull polish, and systematic checks throughout the vessel.
