1999 Hunter 380

The Hunter 380 is a 37-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built to balance performance with comfort and ease of handling. Designed by Glenn Henderson, the boat features a shoal wing keel that prioritizes maneuverability and responsive sailing in a range of conditions. The hull combines solid fiberglass with Kevlar reinforcements to keep weight down and increase impact resistance. A Yanmar 36-horsepower diesel engine with straight-drive transmission powers the boat.

The deck layout centers on a spacious cockpit with corner stern seats and an integrated stainless steel arch supporting the bimini and a traveler track that keeps clutter clear of the working area. Self-tailing winches mounted well aft give good access to sail trim and support short-handed sailing. Roller-furling options on both the mainsail and jib simplify sail handling. Composite floorboards styled to resemble teak lift to access plumbing, wiring, and the engine shaft.

Equipment includes GPS and chart plotter, radar, autopilot, depth sounder, wind instruments, and VHF radio. The electrical system runs dual 12-volt batteries with a 30-amp shore power connection and Northern Lights generator. Galley amenities include a three-burner LPG stove with gimbaled oven, microwave, and refrigeration. A pressure-fed fresh water system and marine head with holding tank complete the accommodation.
