1999 Hylas 54

This 1999 Hylas 54 is a blue-water cruising yacht designed by German Frers and built by Queen Long Marine to exacting standards. The boat features a long fin keel and suspended rudder for directional stability and seaworthiness, paired with a cutter mast that provides a manageable sail plan for small crews. Its construction incorporates Twaron aramid fiber reinforcements and vinylester resins, built to handle demanding offshore conditions. The 100 hp Yanmar diesel engine powers the 54-foot hull.

Below deck, the yacht presents three cabins and two heads with a well-considered layout. The master stateroom occupies the aft section, featuring a queen berth amidships, generous storage, and an en-suite head with separate shower. The saloon provides a bright central gathering space with teak joinery and natural light throughout. A forward-facing chart table, well-equipped galley, and deep lockers with secure handholds support practical cruising.

The boat has undergone an extensive refit during 2023–2024. Work completed includes a new 12mm teak deck, fresh white paint on mast and boom, full overhaul of the engine and generator, hull and deck repainting, and bottom renewal with new barrier coat and antifouling. Additional updates encompass a new propeller shaft, stainless steel rubbing strake, new navigation and boom lights, window frames, and refrigeration system. Diesel tanks were professionally cleaned.
