The Sweden Yachts 45 is a 45-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built to handle demanding conditions. The design prioritizes both seaworthiness and ease of handling, combining an advanced hull shape with a robust construction method: a balsa-core sandwich with hand-laid fiberglass roving and mat for strength and light weight. The yacht is powered by a 78-horsepower Volvo Penta TMD 22 diesel engine mounted on an integral glass fiber bed.

The deck features teak laid by hand and secured with stainless steel screws. The hull incorporates a lead-antimony keel with cast-in stainless steel bolts and a balanced spade rudder of fiberglass with stainless steel stock and bronze bearing. The aluminum toe rail bolts through the deck and hull flange. A specially designed steel beam system allows rigging loads to be carried by the bulkheads, minimizing the need for extra internal bracing.

The interior offers substantial storage, plenty of hot water, a full galley, and well-appointed heads. The cockpit and navigation station are finished with quality fittings. Double-framed tempered glass ports provide visibility and durability. Wiring runs through conduits above the waterline while hoses are routed through ducts beneath the floorboards, keeping the interior clean and organized. Heavy deck fittings and winches are backed with plywood core and reinforced backing plates for long-term reliability.
