2000 Beneteau 361

This 2000 Beneteau 361 is a two-cabin cruising sailboat built with a fiberglass hull, balsa-cored deck, and teak-and-holly cabin sole. The boat carries a single Yanmar 3GM diesel engine producing 27 horsepower; the engine has approximately 8,000 hours and has been maintained with care, though it will require rebuild or replacement in the near future.

The interior layout centers on a two-cabin design with a forward V-berth and hanging lockers, a main cabin with port settee and starboard dinette, a navigation station with chart table, and a full head compartment with shower. The galley runs along the port side with two sinks, a two-burner propane stove, gas oven, and refrigeration. An aft cabin to starboard provides a large additional berth. Fresh water capacity totals 940 litres across two tanks, with a six-gallon hot water tank. The boat is rigged with an aluminum mast with double spreaders, stainless steel shrouds and stays, and self-tailing winches fitted throughout. A roller furling system, Bimini canvas, and lazy jack are included.

In 2020, the hull was stripped to gelcoat, the keel was faired, and the hull received four coats of Interprotect paint followed by bottom paint applied again in 2022. The waterline and cover stripe were professionally refinished. Multiple deck and hardware items were rebedded or restored in 2019, including pulpits, stanchions, and cleats. The aft cabin top pad eye and a forward pad eye were restored or replaced. New upholstery was installed in 2023, and a brand-new Genoa sail was added the same year. Navigation and safety equipment include VHF radio, Raymarine instruments with autohelm, binnacle compass, electric and manual bilge pumps, stainless steel pulpits and stanchions with double lifelines, and a full complement of safety gear. Two solar panels with controller were added in 2021, along with a new Odyssey house battery.
