2000 Catalina 380

The Catalina 380 is a 38-foot cruising sailboat built with a fiberglass hull and powered by a 40 hp Westerbeke diesel engine. The design prioritizes performance and comfort for extended offshore sailing. The rig is robust and well-stayed, featuring a double-spreader mast with in-line uppers, intermediates, fore and aft lowers, forestay, and backstay. The inboard shroud base allows for narrow sheeting angles to carry large genoas. Deck layout includes a low-profile ball bearing mainsheet traveler for excellent forward visibility, a pedestal steering station with a 5-inch compass, and a cockpit table with drop leaves and storage. Wide weather decks are textured nonskid with gentle angles and no sharp corners. Access to the bow includes an oversize stem boarding ladder and a hot and cold fresh water shower, with two large storage lockers nearby.

Below deck, the interior features varnished teak bulkheads, cabinets, and joinery throughout. Nine opening hatches provide abundant light and ventilation to the main cabin. The layout centers on a teak navigation desk with a swivel chair positioned amidships, leaving ample space for electronics installations. The owner's cabin aft has an oversize double berth surrounded by numerous storage bins and lockers. Two separate dressing areas with upholstered seating and hanging lockers offer generous privacy in this retreat. The forward and aft guest cabins each feature double berths and hanging lockers with adjacent storage.

The galley is L-shaped and equipped with a three-burner stainless gimbaled LP gas stove, oven, polished stainless double sink, and a large icebox with front access. Countertops are custom molded in one piece with an integrated butcher block and trash chute for efficient meal preparation and cleanup. A dedicated head with an enclosed shower and one-piece acrylic door provides privacy, while a separate sink and vanity in the forward cabin serves guests and crew.
