2000 Catalina 42 MkII

The Catalina 42 MkII is a proven cruising sailboat built on a design that balances offshore capability with comfortable accommodations and manageable handling. Her 42-foot length and nearly 14-foot beam provide stability and interior volume, supported by a Yammer 50 hp diesel engine and a balanced sail plan suited to extended cruising as well as casual daysailing.

The two-cabin interior offers spacious accommodations with galley, saloon, and head facilities typical of the design. The layout prioritizes both liveaboard comfort and practical storage for longer passages. A reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating system manages climate control throughout the boat.

This example includes a bow thruster installed in 2023, a new 135% genoa sail from 2023, and a full cockpit enclosure with a dodger replaced in 2025. Navigation and autopilot systems comprise Raymarine electronics including radar, GPS chartplotter, and autopilot. The boat is equipped with adequate tankage for extended cruising voyages.
