This 2000 Gozzard 44 Mark I is a rare B-interior configuration—the only Mk1 built with this layout. The boat spent its entire operating life on the Great Lakes, used seasonally and hauled each winter, which has preserved her in excellent original condition. Single-owner care and limited annual use have resulted in minimal wear compared to more heavily used examples.
The B interior is thoughtfully designed, featuring a forward island queen stateroom with an en suite head, amidships dinette opposite a two-seat navigation area, large L-shaped galley to starboard aft, a day head, and traditional aft stateroom. The dinette incorporates an innovative coffee-table base with a removable top stored behind the seat back. This interior layout influenced the design of later Mk2 models.
The boat presents a dark blue hull in a limited-edition color scheme with Awlwood MA brightwork on the teak. The cherry woodwork interior carries a natural patina that enhances the light, rich finish and showcases the quality of construction throughout.
The 44-foot fiberglass hull measures 14 feet at the beam and is powered by a single 82 hp Westerbeke diesel engine. The boat includes two cabins and one head.
