This 2000 Monticello River Yacht is a 60-foot aluminum-hulled houseboat built for extended cruising and waterfront living. The wide-body design spans 16 feet across the beam and is powered by twin Cummins 5.9 6BT 330 hp diesel engines with 850 hours. This is one of only three Monticello houseboats ever built with diesel power. A WesterBeke 12,500-kw diesel generator provides onboard power, and the boat reaches speeds of 20 knots.
The upper deck features a full secondary helm station with bridge wet bar and refrigeration, party seating, and a sun deck covered by a Bimini top. The main salon functions as the central entertainment hub with flat-screen TVs and stereo, while a protected lower helm station sits forward. The galley is outfitted with residential-grade appliances: full-size electric range with overhead microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, trash compactor, and garbage disposal. Three staterooms accommodate guests—two full-size berths and a spacious queen master—with two full bathrooms featuring vacu-flush toilets and separate enclosed showers.
Recent work includes new house batteries, smart chargers, and a rebuilt power inverter (2 years ago); new central air handler and heat pump with fresh ductwork (2 years ago); rebuilt fuel injectors and new fuel filters (this season); new cutlass bearings (2 years ago); completely rebuilt vacu-flush systems; new VHF radios with backup handheld unit; new fresh water pump with backup; new hot water tank; new deck and interior lighting; new canvas on front, rear, and top decks; caulking work last season; and dual Glendening throttle controls replaced four years ago. The boat includes an Axiom 7 navigation system with dual screens, fish finder, and charts, plus two diesel heaters and two bubblers for winter storage.
