2000 Ocean Yachts 70 Super Sport

The Ocean Yachts 70 Super Sport is a full-featured sportfish yacht built on a beamy 19'8" modified-V hull designed for both rough-water capability and comfort. Powered by twin 1,400-horsepower Caterpillar diesel engines, she cruises at 25 knots and reaches 32–33 knots at top speed. The hull features prop pockets to reduce draft and additional transom deadrise for a softer ride. When introduced in 2000, this was the largest and most luxurious model in Ocean's lineup.

Accommodations include four staterooms and four heads spread across a thoughtful layout. The full-beam master stateroom is positioned aft with an ensuite head featuring a bathtub. A VIP cabin occupies the forepeak, while guest quarters and crew bunks complete the sleeping areas; each has its own head with a separate shower stall. Between the master and guest cabins sits a utility room with washer, dryer, and freezer. The main salon features three plush couches with storage, a custom high-gloss table, and easy access to the galley forward to port, which includes full-size appliances. The dinette to starboard seats six.

The enclosed flybridge is reached from either the cockpit or salon and features new Garmin electronics, recovered helm and companion seating, L-shaped aft seating with table, and a wetbar with icemaker and refrigerator. An aft helm station overlooks the cockpit, with a ladder ascending to the tuna tower. A custom mezzanine overlooks the 150-square-foot cockpit, which is equipped for serious fishing with two large insulated fishboxes, a transom livewell, and an offset fighting chair.

Extensive upgrades completed between 2023 and 2024 include new Garmin multifunction displays, radar, autopilot, and AIS; Starlink connectivity; new Airmar transducer; custom Lewmar windlass with polished stainless anchor; new Vetus bowthruster; new exhaust risers; and a 1,000-hour Caterpillar service. Recent updates also include new heads throughout with rebuilt Vacuflush systems, fresh carpeting and flooring, new salon and flybridge furnishings, recovered helm seats, refinished cockpit teak, new bow sunpad, PropSpeed, and a full battery replacement.
