This 2000 Sabre 36 is a downeast cruiser built with fully cored fiberglass hull construction. Twin Caterpillar 3116 diesel engines deliver 350 horsepower each, enabling a cruising speed of 18 knots and a top speed of 32 knots. The boat draws 3 feet 4 inches and carries 300 gallons of fuel, making it well-suited for extended inland waterway passages. At 36 feet overall with a 12-foot 6-inch beam, the hull displays traditional downeast lines. Recent bottom paint and new zincs prepare the boat for cruising.

Below deck, the layout includes a V-berth forward with a dinette that converts to a sleeping berth. An Isotherm refrigerator and chest freezer in the helm provide cold storage. Galley amenities include a Force 10 gas range installed in 2022 and a Proctor Silex microwave. Fresh water capacity is 100 gallons, with a 40-gallon holding tank and Vacuflush head upgraded in 2024.

Navigation and electronics include Raymarine multifunction display with 2020 radar, 2021 autopilot, and GPS chartplotter. VHF radio is an Icom M412. A 100-watt solar panel was added in 2024. Below deck cooling comes from forward and aft air conditioning units (12,000 BTU each, the aft unit new in 2024). The helm features a Raymarine depth finder with dual sidescan transducers and water temperature display.

The engine room shows recent attention: fuel separators were replaced in 2022 and 2023, cutless bearings renewed in 2023, water pump impellers in 2024, and aftercoolers inspected in 2024. Batteries and generator battery are new in 2024 and 2025. A Muir windlass handles ground tackle—plow and Fortress anchors with 200 feet of three-braid nylon and 85 feet of chain. Dual bilge pumps include manual and electric options. The boat runs approximately 3,600 hours.
