2000 X-Yachts 442 MK II

The X-Yachts 442 MK II is a 44-foot fiberglass cruiser built around performance and seaworthiness. Powered by a Yanmar 4JH3E diesel engine with 3,150 hours, it reaches a cruising speed of 5 knots and a maximum speed of 6.5 knots. The hull displaces 27,921 pounds and draws 7.3 feet, with a beam of 13.6 feet providing a stable platform under sail and power.

The interior arranges three cabins with accommodation for eight, supported by two heads with showers, wooden flooring, and LED lighting throughout. A foldable wooden salon table, galley with two-burner stove and oven, and reverse osmosis watermaker producing 10.5 gallons per hour support extended cruising. Fresh water capacity is 69 gallons, fuel 40 gallons, and black water 21 gallons.

The sail plan includes an asymmetric spinnaker (6 years old) on a Harken 8 furling system, with standing rigging of rod replaced in 2022. Four manual and two electric Harken winches manage the sails, while a Harken traveler controls mainsail shape. The electrical system comprises 800 watts of solar panels, a 150-amp alternator, and a 2000-watt inverter. Navigation features Starlink satellite internet, B&G Vulcan 9 GPS plotter with radar, VHF radio, and compass.

Deck equipment includes an 8.9-foot fiberglass dinghy with 2023 Yamaha 4 HP outboard, a 55-pound Spade anchor with 164 feet of chain, cockpit shower, and gas BBQ. Safety gear consists of a 2023 liferaft, eight life jackets, EPIRB valid through 2025, flares, bilge pump, and fog horn. Fishing gear with four rods and reels rounds out the equipment complement.
