This 2001 Beneteau Oceanis 393 is a 39-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat powered by a Volvo Penta 55 hp diesel engine. The design emphasizes accessible, uncluttered deck space with a walk-through transom and swim platform, wide side decks, and all control lines leading to the cockpit. The boat carries a ROCNA 25 kg anchor with chain and rode, an electric windlass, and a Kiwi Pro folding propeller. Sails include a fully battened mainsail, 140% genoa, staysail, and jib, with an adjustable inner forestay for flexible sail configuration.
Below deck, the interior is laid out for extended cruising. The forward cabin features a pullman berth to port and storage to starboard, with a head in the bow including shower and chemical toilet. The main salon includes a port-side galley and settee with dining table, navigation station to starboard, and a credenza providing unusual storage capacity. The aft cabin to starboard holds a custom memory foam mattress, with a second head adjacent. The galley is equipped with both a propane stove with oven and an induction cooktop, dual refrigeration units, and stainless steel sinks with hot and cold water.
The electrical system has been substantially upgraded for self-sufficient cruising. Two Winston LiFePo4 house batteries (440 AH, installed 2021) are supported by 870 watts of solar panels and a Victron 2000W inverter. A Honda 1000W generator provides backup power. The boat operates on 220V with 110V capability and can shore power at 110V pedestals. Electronics include a B&G Vulcan 7R chartplotter, Standard Horizon VHF radio, Vesper AIS transceiver, and B&G autopilot with wind, depth, and speed instrumentation. An EPIRB is installed.
Recent work includes a rebuilt Volvo Penta engine installed in 2024, new fuel filter, replacement of most through-hulls in 2021, a new dodger and bimini in 2025, and a full cockpit enclosure from 2019. The boat comes with a West Marine dinghy, spare parts, and docklines, fenders, and life jackets. There is no air conditioning or holding tank system, though space and plumbing exist for holding tank installation if desired.
