2001 Cape Dory Robinhood 36

This 2001 Cape Dory Robinhood 36 is a fiberglass sailboat built using the original Cape Dory molds by Robinhood Marine. The design comes from Carl Alberg, known for creating capable, sea-kindly cruisers with clean lines and forgiving handling characteristics. The boat is powered by a 37-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine and cruises at approximately 7 knots.

The deck and cockpit are outfitted with modern electronics including Raymarine radar, chart plotter, and autopilot, along with a Standard Horizon VHF radio. A Raymarine windvane and depth sounder are installed. The sails include a Quantum furling jib and mainsail from 2020, an asymmetrical spinnaker with top-down furling, and several older sails in reserve. A Thurston Dodger and Bimini top provide weather protection.

Recent maintenance and upgrades include a PSS shaft seal installed in 2025, solar panels and charge controllers added in 2023, and a custom Fairclough winter cover with galvanized frame from 2022. The engine is professionally serviced annually. The boat carries a Honda 2.3-horsepower outboard, a soft-bottom dinghy, and a rigid inflatable tender.
