2012 Bavaria Cruiser 36

The 2012 Bavaria Cruiser 36 is a fiberglass sailing yacht designed for comfortable cruising in Pacific Northwest waters. Built by Bavaria Yachts and designed by J&J Design, the boat measures 37 feet 11 inches overall with a 12-foot beam and 6-foot 5-inch draft. Power comes from a Volvo D1-30F 30-horsepower diesel engine with approximately 3,296 hours of operation. The hull features a fin keel and spade rudder, with cored fiberglass decking.

Below deck, three cabins provide flexible accommodation. The master suite forward includes a large berth with excellent light and ventilation, hanging locker, shelving, and a separate seating area. Two symmetric aft cabins each hold a double bed with seating and locker storage, with an optional extra port light available for added ventilation. The central saloon features settees on both sides and a saloon table with flip-up extensions and storage. A head with shower sits amidships, while a second head and galley are accessible from the saloon. A chart table drops down to create a full-length port settee. Diesel heating via Webasto keeps the interior comfortable.

The galley includes twin stainless steel sinks, an efficient 12-volt refrigerator, and an LPG stove with oven. A large swim platform with one-handed operation provides easy water access. The cockpit offers a folding Lewmar helm, full bimini and dodger with full enclosure, cockpit cushions, and a cockpit shower. Fuel capacity is 40 gallons, freshwater 95 gallons, and holding tank 22 gallons.

Equipment includes a modern Raymarine Axiom 9 touchscreen chartplotter, Garmin autopilot and VHF with DSC, electric windlass with remote control, a conventional main with stackpack and lazyjacks, and a furling genoa with all lines led aft. A Gala 10-foot inflatable boat with new 2023 Yamaha four-stroke 6-horsepower outboard, battery bank of four 95-amp-hour units, and Xantrex 40-amp charger complete the systems.
