The Hunter 340 is a 33.5-foot fractional-rig sloop built on a fiberglass hull. Its design emphasizes sailing efficiency through a tall mast engineered with swept-back spreaders and reverse diagonals, allowing it to carry strength without a backstay. The large roach mainsail serves as the primary power source, reducing the physical demand of sail handling across varying wind and sea conditions. Power comes from a 27-horsepower Yammer diesel engine.

The cockpit features an integrated arch offering sun and weather protection, with an optional bimini canopy. A custom console houses standard VHF radio and instrumentation, supported by single-lever engine control and fold-down table. The swim platform includes a shower and folding ladder. Non-skid surfacing is applied throughout the deck, and storage compartments are distributed across the boat.

Below deck, the interior accommodates two separate staterooms. The saloon seats eight, and a full galley supports meal preparation. A large head with shower completes the accommodations. The design balances livable space with the performance characteristics of the hull above.
