The Hylas 54 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built in 2001 by Queen Long Marine in Taiwan. This 54-foot design is recognized for its offshore capability and construction quality. Powered by a 110 hp Yanmar diesel engine, the boat carries a hand-laid solid fiberglass hull reinforced with Twaron aramid fiber, paired with an end-grain balsa-cored deck and solid laminate in high-load areas.
Below deck, the yacht accommodates three cabins and is finished with high-gloss varnished hardwood, bamboo flooring with teak inlay, custom upholstery, and a well-equipped galley. The interior reflects thoughtful detailing throughout, including a full entertainment suite and custom furnishings suited for extended cruising.
The boat received a new Yanmar engine in 2021, which has accumulated 2,362 hours. In 2020, new UK Sails were installed—mainsail, Genoa, and staysail. A North asymmetrical spinnaker was added in 2024. Full standing rigging was replaced in 2022, and electronics were updated in 2024. The boat is equipped with a bow thruster, generator, solar panels, watermaker, and davits. A bottom strip and repaint were completed while on the hard. Recent detailing was finished in November 2025.
