2002 Hallberg-Rassy 53

The 2002 Hallberg-Rassy 53 is a Swedish-built bluewater cruiser designed by Germán Frers and built under Germanischer Lloyd supervision. This 53-foot fiberglass yacht features a center cockpit layout with fixed windscreen and high coaming, providing shelter and security in rough conditions. Wide, unobstructed running decks allow safe movement throughout the boat. The hull incorporates a bulb keel for enhanced sailing performance, and the boat was built to the exacting standards of the Hallberg-Rassy yard on Orust Island, known for the quality of its GRP moulding, interior joinery, and technical installations.

The interior features Burma-teak joinery and comprises three cabins with flexible sleeping arrangements: a double side berth and single berth in the aft cabin, plus additional accommodation forward. The saloon has two single settees to port and a U-shaped galley to starboard. Two separate head compartments each include a shower. Large diesel and freshwater tank capacities support extended cruising, and storage is abundant throughout lockers, drawers, and compartments.

Power comes from a single 145 hp Volvo diesel engine. The specification includes a diesel generator, water maker, hydraulic furling, electric winches, electric davits, hydraulic gangway, heating, and air conditioning. The boat is equipped and systems-fitted for long-distance voyaging and autonomous cruising.
