2001 Island Packet 380

This 2001 Island Packet 380 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built for extended cruising. At nearly 40 feet with a 13-foot beam, the boat offers solid seaworthiness and comfortable accommodations for extended passages. A Yanmar 4JH2BE diesel engine rated at 50 horsepower provides auxiliary power, paired with a three-blade fixed propeller.

The interior comprises two cabins and one head, arranged for practical cruising comfort. The wooden finishes throughout the cabin have been maintained with regular oiling to preserve the original details. A complete Garmin electronics suite includes a 1242 XSV touchscreen chartplotter, autopilot, data box, and multi-display for speed, depth, and wind data.

Recent work has been substantial and systematic. New standing rigging was installed in 2025, along with a wind generator, windlass, mast and headsail furlers professionally serviced, exhaust manifold and heat exchanger, and bottom paint. An Achilles 10-foot 4-inch inflatable dinghy with a new Honda 2.3 outboard motor rounds out the equipment, supported by a davit system. Power generation includes solar panels and a Balmar alternator charging four house batteries and one engine battery. The main engine shows 3,805 hours on the clock.
