2001 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45.2

This 45-foot Jeanneau Sun Odyssey is a fiberglass cruising sailboat built in 2001 with a proven design suited to blue-water sailing. The boat is powered by a 75 hp Yanmar diesel engine with shaft drive and a four-blade Max Prop; the engine had its last major service in 2025 and shows 3,110 hours. A bow thruster provides additional maneuvering capability. The sail plan includes a North Sails mainsail and genoa, plus a North Sails genaker with roller furling, all from 2012. Stainless steel adjustable backstay supports the rig.

The interior accommodates three cabins with two heads. The main suite occupies the bow with its own head, while two additional cabins are positioned aft. The generous saloon features windows and a formal dining area, served by a fully equipped galley with a two-burner gas cooktop, microwave, and two top-loading refrigerators.

Deck amenities include teak on the cockpit, seats, and swimming platform, along with a hot and cold cockpit shower and swimming ladder. A stainless steel Bruce anchor with 50 meters of 10mm calibrated chain (renewed in 2024) and an electric windlass support ground tackle. Bimini and sprayhood provide weather protection.

The electrical system is comprehensive: a 75 amp shore power charger, 1,200-watt electric windlass, one 120Ah engine battery (2022), four 110Ah Victron service batteries, two Optima Blue bow thruster batteries (2023), a 2,000VA inverter, and two 180-watt solar panels on the bimini (2022). Navigation equipment includes a Simrad NSE8 plotter, Raytheon RL70 radar, dual wind instruments, tridata display, and Raymarine autopilot. A Furuno VHF with portable backup rounds out communications. A Syntesy life raft for eight persons and current safety gear are aboard. The tender is a 2023 Goldenship HSD 230 with a 2.5 hp Mercury outboard.
