This 82-foot Nordlund Enclosed Command Bridge is a composite-hulled motor yacht built around a philosophy of practical offshore cruising. Naval architecture by Ed Monk Jr. and exterior styling by Tim Nolan give the boat classic Nordlund proportions with a purposeful profile, while the fully enclosed, climate-controlled command bridge provides protected helm visibility suited to all-weather operation. Twin MTU 12V2000 diesel engines, each rebuilt and producing 1,350 horsepower with fewer than 100 hours since rebuild, deliver a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed near 24 knots, with a range of approximately 1,200 nautical miles.
The interior accommodates six guests across three staterooms and three heads, arranged with owner-operator practicality in mind. Spaces were designed by Kim Alexander and Patrick Knowles to balance comfort with functionality. Yacht Controller handling and recently serviced Wesmar stabilizers provide responsive steering and smooth motion across varying sea conditions.
The modified-V composite hull offers good ride quality and predictable handling. This Nordlund reflects construction standards that exceed typical production yachts, built as a capable, long-range cruising platform rather than a shoreside showpiece.
