The 2001 Novatec Islander is a 60-foot pilothouse motor yacht built in fiberglass with a 16.5-foot beam. The boat is powered by twin Caterpillar 3196 diesel engines rated at 660 horsepower each, with approximately 2,700 original engine hours. Twin Cummins generators provide 8kW and 21kW of auxiliary power. Bow and stern thrusters with remote controls and Glendinning electronic engine controls support easy maneuvering. The yacht cruises comfortably at 18 knots.
The interior is arranged with three staterooms and three heads, each head featuring a separate stall shower. The full-beam salon is brightened by LED lighting throughout. The galley is equipped with a large cooktop, dual refrigerator and freezer combinations, an ice maker, washer and dryer, central vacuum system, and extensive cabinetry and storage. An enclosed sunroom with a wet bar and a custom hardtop over the cockpit add to the comfortable layout.
The pilothouse provides excellent visibility and owner-operator handling characteristics. Full walk-around side decks offer safe access around the boat. Storage is extensive throughout. Caterpillar 1,000-hour and 3,000-hour services have been completed on the engines.
