2001 X-Yachts IMX-40

This 2001 X-Yachts IMX-40 is a 40-foot fiberglass sloop built for serious cruising and racing. The boat features a carbon fiber mast, boom, and spinnaker pole paired with a comprehensive modern sail wardrobe. A Volvo Penta diesel engine with a 2-bladed Gori folding propeller provides auxiliary power. The rig and deck are equipped with quality hardware including a Harken furling jib system, composite backstay, and bowsprit for flying the Code 0.

Electronics and navigation are well-appointed with a Raymarine autopilot, B&G Zeus 3 plotter, modern depth and speed instruments, wireless wind data, AIS, and fixed VHF radio. Power comes from service batteries upgraded to 200 Ah LFP lithium in 2023, with shore power and a Victron charger system installed.

Accommodation includes a diesel heater, hot water system, pressurized water throughout, galley stove with oven, refrigeration, and a heads with holding tank. Safety equipment meets ISAF Category 3 standards with two life rafts, electric and manual bilge pumps, fire extinguishers, and comprehensive safety lines.

The hull received an epoxy treatment and three new layers added in 2025. The boat carries a full inventory of spare parts for electrical, engine, and rigging systems, along with multiple sails in varying condition, an aluminum winter cover frame, and complete ground tackle. An aft box encloses the transom and provides additional storage.
