2002 Albin 28 Tournament Express

The 2002 Albin 28 Tournament Express is a fiberglass sportfisher built for serious offshore fishing and extended cruising. Powered by a Yammer 6LPA-STP turbocharged diesel engine rated at 315 horsepower, the boat offers fuel efficiency and reliability with straightforward mechanical fuel injection. The 28-foot hull with its 10-foot beam provides good stability and wide walkaround access to the bow. A large bimini top with side enclosure panels creates a protected deck space, and the upholstery throughout is in excellent condition.

The electronics suite is comprehensive, featuring dual 12-inch Simrad multifunction displays, a 7-inch Simrad MFD, a 3-foot Halo radar antenna, a Simrad autopilot with 4-inch display, and an Airmar B175M transducer. Navigation and communication equipment include a Ritchie compass, Icom M45 VHF radio, and search light. The boat runs a bow thruster with Simpson Lawrence controls and Lewmar trim tabs for precise handling. A FloScan fuel flow transducer monitors consumption, and a single-lever Teleflex Morse throttle control simplifies operation at the helm.

Below deck accommodates fishing trips and overnight stays with a V-berth forward, an aft berth to port, a head to starboard, and a galley featuring a stove, sink, refrigerator, and microwave. The cockpit is fully equipped for fishing with rod holders mounted at the gunnels, transom, and rockets, plus gaff and brush racks. A transom livewell, raw water and fresh water wash-down systems, removable fish boxes, and storage complete the working deck. Batteries are dated April 2025.
