2002 Boatyard Passenger Boat

This 139-foot steel passenger boat was rebuilt in 2002 and is built to carry up to 450 passengers. Twin MAN engines produce 1,600 horsepower combined and drive the boat through fixed-pitch propellers on conventional shafts. Twin semi-balanced rudders and a hydraulic steering system manage handling. The boat reaches 13 knots cruising speed and 14 knots at maximum speed, consuming approximately 13 litres of fuel per nautical mile. Total fuel capacity is 12,000 litres, providing a range of roughly 920 nautical miles.

The boat holds Class A certification from the Indian Register of Shipping and operates without night navigation restrictions. Three onboard generators (27, 40, and 60 kVA) supply power throughout the vessel. The design calls for a minimum crew of six, expandable to eight depending on lifesaving equipment configuration. Eleven heads are installed for passenger facilities.

The steel hull provides structural strength and stability suited to commercial passenger operations. Twin shafts and conventional propulsion architecture offer proven reliability. The boat is fully compliant with current regulations and is equipped and ready for commercial service.
