This 2002 Hylas 46 is a center-cockpit cruising yacht built for serious offshore sailing. The boat combines traditional quality construction with modern systems and amenities. The fiberglass hull is powered by a Yanmar diesel engine and features a Gori feathering propeller, electric winches for primary and mainsail functions, and a full suite of 2017–2018 Raymarine electronics including autopilot.
The interior accommodates multiple cabin configurations. The aft master stateroom features a walk-around queen berth with ensuite head and separate shower, plus extensive storage. Forward is a large V-berth that converts to a double, sharing a head with the saloon. The midship cabin currently serves as workspace and storage but retains the option to revert to twin bunks with its own ensuite head. The L-shaped galley sits to port along the center-cockpit passageway, with twin sinks positioned to drain on either tack. The saloon includes a dinette to port and settee with pilot berth to starboard. Real teak joinery runs throughout, and the interior benefits from overhead fixed ports that flood the spaces with natural light. Full headroom accommodates occupants over six feet.
Recent upgrades include a new Seldon mast cut to 62.5 feet for ICW transit, a brand-new Roy Downs mainsail with horizontal battens, new electric mainsail furling motor, and a newly rebuilt Gori propeller. The Yanmar engine has 6,200 hours. A custom stainless arch at the stern supports 1,200 watts of solar panels and new dinghy davits. Heat and air conditioning are installed, along with a separate Webasto forced-air diesel heater added in 2019. New cockpit cushions and fully enclosed cockpit enclosure date to 2024. Topsides were repainted in 2016 with new gloss deck work. A Panda Fischer generator with 300 hours is aboard.
