2002 J Boats J/46

This 2002 J/46 is a 46-foot offshore sailing yacht built by J Boats on a proven design that balances bluewater capability with ease of handling. The fiberglass hull and deck were constructed using SCRIMP resin-infusion technology for strength and durability. A 75 hp Yanmar 4LH-TE diesel engine provides auxiliary power, delivering consistent 6.95-knot cruising speeds and a maximum speed of 8.69 knots. The yacht's carbon fiber mast, 7'6" draft, and high length-to-beam ratio give her confident tracking in heavy seas and stable offshore performance.

The interior features two cabins and two heads finished in varnished cherry, with accommodations designed for comfort on extended passages. Belowdecks layout preserves the cabinetry from the elements, supporting long-term durability of the joinery. The cockpit is spacious with an integrated transom swim platform for easy boarding.

Recent upgrades include new engine mounts, new rudder bearings, completely new standing rigging, and a new Awlgrip topsides with fresh gelcoat and non-skid application on deck. The electrical system has been upgraded with 600 amp-hours of Lifeline AGM batteries and LED navigation and interior lighting throughout. Navigation and sailing systems feature extensive B&G H5000 instrumentation. The yacht carries a large current sail inventory of 16 sails for both racing and cruising.
