2002 Johnson Pilothouse 70 Motor Yacht

The 2002 Johnson Pilothouse 70 is a 70-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines. Built with solid construction and recognized for both cruising capability and fishing aptitude, this model combines a full walk-around exterior with abundant entertaining space. The pilothouse design and extended California deck create flexible options for relaxation or active use.

The layout includes four staterooms arranged to sleep eight guests comfortably. The master cabin sits centerline aft with its own private passage, while a generous VIP forward and two additional guest staterooms complete the sleeping quarters. The main salon spans nearly the full beam and opens to a galley with country kitchen styling. Deck space includes an open California platform fitted with oversized bait tanks, rod holders, a telescoping swim ladder, and additional seating—features suited equally to fishing or casual gathering.

Recent work has been substantial. The yard period covered bottom paint, props, shafts, seals, and thru-hull hardware. Interior updates include new salon carpet, new refrigerator drawers, serviced heads, and an upgraded AC/heat system with new salon air handler. A complete LED lighting conversion replaced older fixtures throughout. The wheelhouse received a new electric panel, and exterior vinyl upholstery was refreshed. All mechanical equipment—engines, generator, cooling systems, and gearbox—have been serviced with clean oil samples available.

Additional refinements include upgraded Gator Step synthetic exterior decking, an upgraded JL Audio sound system with Fusion integration, Simrad auxiliary fishing displays, and a new wireless yacht controller. Exterior detailing was completed in early 2025.
