The 2003 Marlow 70E is a 70-foot fiberglass motor yacht built for open ocean cruising with the capability to deliver speed when required. Her design combines a traditional seaworthy profile with engineered construction: the composite hull incorporates Dupont Kevlar, vinylester resins, core-cell foam, and vacuum-bagged fabrics laid up in three major molds to minimize joints and maximize strength. The proprietary Velocijet Strut Keels enhance tracking and performance in rough conditions.
Twin Caterpillar 3406 diesel engines producing 800 hp each power the yacht to a top speed of 19 knots and cruise at 10 knots. The boat carries relatively low engine hours. Two bow and stern thrusters and Naiad fin stabilizers support handling and comfort underway.
The interior accommodates three staterooms and four heads. The open flying bridge features new Isinglass enclosure, offering unobstructed views during operation and leisure time.
Recent work includes new paint above the rub rails and on hull sides, new non-skid deck on the bow, new bottom paint, and refinished engine room. The windows have been re-bedded and recaulked. Engine room updates comprise new Caterpillar alternators, new main and house batteries, and recently replaced air conditioning compressors and air handlers. A new watermaker, new propellers, and a refinished crane round out the recent upgrades. All services are current.
