The 2002 Sabre 36 Salon Express is a downeast-style cruiser powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines producing 315 horsepower each. With straight shaft drives and approximately 1,200 original hours, the boat cruises comfortably in the low to mid twenties and reaches 30 knots at full throttle. The fiberglass hull was recently repainted in blue and is fitted with teak toe rails and polished stainless steel fittings throughout.
Accommodations include a forward cabin with a center-island berth, full galley, and a helm area with a Pompanette P2000T teak helm seat and teak foot rest. The interior features American cherry cabinetry and teak and holly cabin soles. Climate control below and above deck is provided by air conditioning and heating systems. A 6-kilowatt Northern Lights generator supplies onboard power.
Navigation and safety systems include full electronic suite with chartplotter, radar, and echo sounder. The boat is equipped with trim tabs, hot water system, and a custom soft-top bimini and cockpit sun shade with tan canvas. The custom sun protection was designed and built by the owner using quality materials.
