The 2000 Duffy Flybridge 37 is a fiberglass downeast design powered by a single 450-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine. The hull delivers a cruising speed of 12 knots with a maximum speed of 18 knots, built on the Spencer Lincoln design known for seaworthiness and comfortable passagemaking. The boat measures 37 feet in length with a 13.5-foot beam.
The accommodations include one cabin and one head. The flybridge provides open-air command and sightlines, while the lower helm is positioned for enclosed-cabin operation. The layout supports extended cruising, including single-handed operation.
The boat has undergone extensive systems upgrades since 2009. Power systems include a 400 amp-hour LiFePO4 house battery bank with Victron components (Lynx BMS, Multiplus inverter/charger, and Cerbo GX monitoring), installed in 2022 with 280-watt solar panels and nearly all LED lighting throughout. Navigation equipment spans dual NMEA 2000 networks, a Furuno TZT2 12-inch multifunction display on the flybridge with NXT radar and networked fishfinding capability, a Simrad GO5 chartplotter with side-scanning sonar, Garmin Cortex advanced VHF with AIS and cellular monitoring, and Standard Horizon GX2400 VHF with wireless mic capability. The lower helm features dual monitor displays connected to an Intel NUC PC running TimeZero Navigator software, with a synchronized iPad running boat management apps. Communications include Wave WiFi high-power marina bridge and Cel-Fi cell booster. The systems are supported by comprehensive maintenance records documenting all work completed.
