The Saga 43 is a fiberglass offshore cruiser built in 2002, 43 feet long with a 12-foot beam. Her design combines a moderate displacement hull with a powerful sail plan, delivering capable sailing performance suited to both coastal work and extended offshore passages. The yacht's clean lines and thoughtful layout balance performance with the comfort needed for liveaboard cruising.
Over the past five years, the boat has undergone substantial upgrades and refits. The topsides, mast, and boom have been professionally repainted. A new mainsail was installed in 2025, and the storm sail package—including a storm jib, trysail, and removable inner forestay with rigging—rounds out heavy-weather capability. The mast step was replaced as a major structural upgrade during this period.
Modern systems have been integrated throughout. A Garmin electronics package handles navigation and integrated vessel monitoring. LED lighting, including spreader lights, has been installed throughout. An arch fitted with solar panels supports off-grid power generation. Ground tackle has been upgraded with an anchor windlass, a primary Rocna anchor, and a secondary Fortress anchor. The heads have been updated with an electric aft head and a new conventional forward head. Refrigeration and freezer systems were upgraded as part of the refit work. A canvas package provides protection and weather protection for extended cruising.
