This 2002 Wally is a full displacement sailing yacht measuring nearly 40 feet, built with a carbon fibre hull, mast, boom, and shrouds. The yacht features a distinctive canting keel paired with twin daggerboards, a design that enhances upwind performance and overall handling under sail. The open stern configuration—developed in collaboration with Wally and pioneering on sailing yachts of this era—provides direct water access and works exceptionally well with large asymmetric spinnakers and Code Zero sails.
The Magic Trim system streamlines sail handling by eliminating the need for winch operation while underway. The helm station is equipped with push-button controls for tacking and gybing both mainsail and genoa, enabling single-handed sailing from the helm. A flush teak deck with streamlined design complements the contemporary lines that remain striking decades after construction.
Below decks, the yacht accommodates six cabins and features interior spaces redecorated with custom Henryot furniture. Power comes from a single 385-horsepower Caterpillar diesel engine, delivering a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 10 knots. The boat is fitted with RINA classification and has been maintained throughout its service life, with systems and components upgraded over time.
