This 2003 Beneteau 50 is a fiberglass aft-cockpit sloop designed by Bruce Farr, built as a two-cabin owner's version. The hull combines speed and stability with generous interior volumes suited to extended cruising and family sailing. A 100 hp Yanmar diesel engine powers the boat, with a bow thruster, generator, and reverse-cycle air conditioning installed for practical cruising and comfortable living aboard.
The cockpit is expansive with twin wheels, teak construction, and a full Bimini-dodger with side screens for weather protection. On deck, davits support the dinghy for secure stowage and easy launching while underway. The sail plan includes an in-mast furling main and furling genoa by Quantum, along with a spinnaker and storm jib. Grab rails and safety bars run throughout the deck layout. A Lofrans heavy-duty windlass handles ground tackle, and navigation and communication equipment outfit the chart station.
Below, the cherry wood interior is bright with good headroom and storage. The forward owner's cabin, two heads, and guest berths create flexible accommodation for family and friends. The galley includes a holding-plate freezer and separate refrigerator. Robust tankage supports extended passages, and the shallow draft of 5'11" eases access to protected anchorages.
Cruise at 7 knots or reach 10 knots at speed. The boat was used privately, never chartered.
