2003 Chris White Atlantic 42

The Atlantic 42 is a high-performance catamaran designed by Chris White and built by Lombardi Yachts. This 2003 example measures 42 feet overall with a 23-foot beam, drawing just 2 feet 8 inches with the boards up or 7 feet when deployed. The composite hull and dual-hull design deliver the speed and stability the Atlantic 42 is known for, with a displacement of 14,500 pounds and fuel and water capacity of 80 gallons each.

Power comes from twin Yanmar 3YM30 diesel engines installed in 2022, paired with Gori three-blade folding propellers fitted in 2021. The sails include a Dacron main and jib in very good condition, plus a full downwind suite with reacher, runner, and asymmetric spinnaker; a code zero and spinnaker pole were added in 2023. Navigation and communication systems include dual Garmin GPS units, a full B&G instrument system with wind instruments updated in 2023, AIS transponder, and new VHF radio and antenna.

Significant work has been completed since 2019. The hull was painted in 2021, the deck in 2020. The bottom was stripped and repainted in June 2021, with new zincs and thru-hulls fitted in 2020. An updated rudder design was installed in February 2020, and a new anchor windlass was added the same year. The saildrive was replaced in November 2022, with the second saildrive rebuilt. Motor mounts, raw water pumps, thermostats, and fuel tanks were serviced during the engine installation.

Below deck, flooring has been refinished throughout, all faucets were replaced in 2021, and sanitary plumbing was fully replaced in October 2025. Toilets were rebuilt in 2023, and the LP locker was rebuilt the same year. Electrical systems received a comprehensive overhaul in 2025, with two new 8D AGM house batteries, two 240-watt solar panels with high-efficiency charging, and new battery charging controls added in 2023. A watermaker was installed in March 2023. A 2015 WM 310 RIB with 8-horsepower Mercury outboard and custom dinghy cover are included.
