This 2003 Custom 22 Tran Sport is a shallow-draft catamaran built for flats and coastal fishing. The hull is fiberglass, measuring 22 feet 6 inches long with an 8-foot beam, delivering the stability and shallow-water capability the design is known for. It runs on a 2023 Suzuki 175-horsepower four-stroke engine and cruises at 40 knots with a top speed of 45 knots.
The boat is equipped with a rear boarding ladder, an 8-inch Bob's jack plate, and a hydrofoil over the prop for improved shallow-water performance. A 35-gallon fuel tank provides good range, and the electrical system includes two batteries with an onboard charger. Navigation and entertainment are covered by a newer ship-to-shore radio and stereo system. A Bimini top provides sun protection, and a newer trolling motor with remote control is included.
Additional equipment includes a battery on/off switch and the original trailer, which has five new tires. The engine has very low hours on it. This is a solid, stable platform that operates in water as shallow as 4 inches and handles rough seas well, making it well-suited to fishing work in coastal and flats environments.
