2003 Dovercraft PH 42 Coupe

The 2003 Dovercraft PH 42 Coupe is an aluminum-hulled pilothouse cruiser built for extended offshore voyaging. Constructed by Dovercraft in Ontario, the boat measures 42 feet in length with a 13-foot beam. The aluminum construction eliminates concerns common to fiberglass boats, offering durability and reduced maintenance over the long term. The hull features seamless welding throughout, executed during a 16-month build period.

The layout includes two cabins and one head, with accommodation space suited to extended cruising. The pilothouse design provides weather protection and commanding visibility underway. A retractable sunroof offers ventilation and natural light when desired.

Power comes from a single CAT diesel engine paired with electronic controls. The boat is equipped with a bow thruster for improved maneuverability, Zipwake stabilizers for motion control, an AC system, generator, and substantial battery capacity for self-sufficiency. Navigation and monitoring systems are custom-installed throughout. The newer Seadeck flooring provides wear-resistant deck surfaces. A fresh-water model, the boat was built specifically for cruising in non-saltwater environments.
