2003 Dufour 36 Classic

This 2003 Dufour 36 Classic is an ocean-going cruising sailboat built for extended passages and self-sufficient living aboard. The fiberglass hull measures 36 feet in length with a 12-foot beam, and the boat draws 1.78 meters of water. It is powered by a Volvo Penta MD2030 diesel engine of 30 horsepower with saildrive, which has run approximately 950 hours.

The boat sleeps up to six people across two cabins and has one head. The main cabin features a 2025 orthopedic mattress, a bright saloon with ample storage, and a functional galley equipped with a 40-liter refrigerator, 20-liter freezer, and dual-system gas cooker and oven. A new electric toilet was installed in 2025. The interior includes LED multicolor lighting, a 40-inch LG QLED smart television, and a small HP printer. Sails consist of a 2025 mainsail and jib with a 2024 gennaker; the standing rigging was replaced in 2022 and the running rigging renewed in 2024. Total sail area is approximately 60 square meters.

Navigation and deck equipment are comprehensive. Electronics include an Orca Core 2 centralized system operable by smartphone or tablet, Raymarine HD radar, C90W and C60W plotters, an S4 Pro autopilot with S1 backup, dual VHF radios, AIS, Tridata sounders, and Starlink Maritime Wi-Fi. An electric windlass, 60 meters of chain, and a primary anchor are installed. A new 6-person survival raft, flares, and recent safety gear complete the deck outfit. A 4-person Zodiac tender with Mercury outboard, swim platform with ladder, and inflatable paddleboards are included.

Power and water systems support extended cruising: seven 1,500-watt solar panels charge five AGM batteries paired with a 3,000-watt inverter. A new 2,000-watt gasoline generator (2025) provides backup. A Schenker Zen 30 water maker produces 30 liters per hour. The standing and running rigging, main engine, generator, batteries, and essential systems have all been recently serviced or replaced, supporting ocean passage capability.
