2003 Fountaine Pajot Belize 43

The Belize 43 is a 2003 Fountaine Pajot catamaran built for both extended cruising and coastal exploration. With a beam of nearly 23 feet, the hull offers generous interior and deck spaces, accommodating up to 12 people during the day and 10 overnight across six cabins and two heads. Twin 58 hp Yanmar diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of 7 knots with a maximum of 8 knots.

On deck, a forward sunbathing area with cushions and canopy overlooks the water, while the aft cockpit features a teak-built bathing platform with integrated stairs, tender davits, and a dining table. Below, the galley is fully equipped with a three-burner gas range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, refrigeration, and complete tableware. A full freshwater and seawater system serves both galley and heads. Accommodation cabins include USB charging ports, and entertainment systems feature television, DVD, MP3 radio, and cockpit speakers.

The sailing rig includes a mainsail with lazy bag, roller genoa, asymmetric spinnaker, and gennaker, all managed by electric winches and powered by a Solé generator. Navigation and safety systems are comprehensive: autopilot, radar, GPS plotter, VHF fixed and handheld radios, echo sounder, log, EPIRB, and two life rafts rated for 6 and 8 persons.

Recent major work includes new diesel engines (2023), overhauled rigging (2023), refurbished steering (2024), new electric heads and waste tank (2024), replaced galley gas lines (2024), new automatic bilge pumps (2024), and refreshed refrigeration compressors (2024). The electrical system comprises a 2025 Quick 40A inverter charger, four 100Ah gel batteries (2024), and auxiliary independent battery banks. Structural reinforcements to the transoms and bow were completed alongside anti-osmosis treatment in 2020.
