2003 Leopard 46

This 2003 Leopard 46 is a custom catamaran designed by the respected multihull architects Morelli & Melvin. Built in the United States and launched by her original owner, she combines proven offshore performance with practical cruising comfort. The lightweight fiberglass hull spans 46 feet in length with a generous 26-foot beam, enabling efficient sailing performance reported at up to 17 knots under sail. Twin Beta Marine 30-horsepower diesel engines provide dependable auxiliary power and maneuverability. Her design emphasizes the strength and seaworthiness valued by long-range cruising sailors.

The interior houses a two-cabin, two-head layout with a third cabin converted to workroom space. A substantial galley includes a standalone 5-cubic-foot freezer, a 13.2-cubic-foot refrigerator, a DC cooktop with oven, hot water tank, and a 40-gallon water maker with UV sterilizer. The boat carries large tank capacities: 170 gallons of fuel, 200 gallons of water, and 40-gallon holding tank. Climate control comes from a 1.5-ton heat pump, and laundry facilities include a washer and spinner.

The electrical system reflects upgrades for extended cruising: a 540-amp-hour lithium battery bank, 1.34 kilowatts of solar panels, two KISS wind generators, and a 4.3-kilowatt generator. Navigation electronics include Furuno radar, Raymarine wind/depth/speed instruments, TimeZero charting with radar overlay, and autopilot. The sails are four years old and include an asymmetrical spinnaker with Selden top-down furler. Rigging includes a 6-foot bowsprit, stainless shaft, Hurth V-drive transmission, and Kiwi feathering props.

Additional equipment includes a 12-foot custom fiberglass dinghy with 18-horsepower Nissan outboard, multiple anchors (Mantas 50-pound, Bruce 60-pound claw, Fortress FX-55 storm, and Spade 44-pound), rode totaling 275 feet, and a complete underwater breathing hookah system for zinc replacement and hull work. The engines show 1,958 hours of running time. All tools, spares, and equipment aboard are included in the sale.
