The 2003 Hunter 426 Deck Salon is a 42-foot fiberglass monohull designed for serious cruising. Built on proven DS platform hull lines, this boat combines practical seamanship with comfortable accommodations. A shoal-draft wing keel draws 5 feet for shallow-water exploration, while the mast height of approximately 60 feet suits Intracoastal Waterway transit under fixed bridges. Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH3E diesel engine rated at 56 horsepower.
The interior layout includes two cabins and two heads, arranged around a spacious deck salon—the signature feature of this model. The cabin headliner was replaced in April 2026 across the salon, forward head, and V-berth. Navigation and handling are supported by Bravo & Gough electronics installed as part of recent upgrades.
The engine had 1,825 hours at the time of documentation. In February or March 2026, the bottom received a fresh anti-fouling coat, and the hull sides, cockpit, and deck were buffed and waxed at Anchorage Yacht Basin in Melbourne, Florida. The Flex-O-Fold feathering propeller was treated with Prop Speed before the boat returned to the water.
