The 2003 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54 DS is a 54-foot cruising yacht designed by Jacques Fauroux and Vittorio Garroni for both performance and comfort. Built on a fiberglass hull, she pairs a 100 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine with a comprehensive suite of modern sailing equipment. The deck layout is uncluttered with direct access to the water from the stern, and the cockpit functions as an open lounge area. She is equipped with a bow thruster, folding three-blade MaxProp propeller with rope cutter, and an extensive array of sails including a new mainsail, semi-new jib, and older genoa—all with roller furling and a gennaker rig ready to deploy.
The accommodation centers on four heads and includes twin electric refrigerators with a separate freezer unit, ice boxes in the main cabin and cockpit, a three-burner gas stove with oven, and a microwave. A watermaker produces 55 liters per hour. Climate control consists of a 12,000 BTU air conditioning and heating system plus a dehumidifier. Power is managed through multiple battery banks—new service batteries, new winch banks, semi-new bow thruster batteries, and engine/generator batteries—supported by dual chargers and both 12V and 24V inverters. All interior and exterior lighting is LED.
Navigation and electronics are comprehensive: Raymarine autopilot with wind, speed, and depth instruments; Garmin GPSMAP 5012 plotter with detailed BlueChart mapping covering the Iberian Peninsula through the Azores; Garmin radar with new antenna; AIS; and VHF radio. A dedicated navigation PC runs MaxSea and zyGrib weather software. Internal and external WiFi networks are installed. Entertainment includes a 24-inch LG television, Sony radio with Bluetooth and CD player, and speaker systems throughout.
The boat carries a 3.5 hp Mercury four-stroke tender, a Zodiac Cadet 270 inflatable with new sausage covers, and modern safety equipment including updated lifesaving gear. The deck features new Flexiteek covering, a new bimini with full perimeter closure and windows, and newly serviced hydraulic gangway. Rigging has been inspected, with four Harken electric winches serviced. New chain and anchors are aboard, with a preventive osmosis treatment completed.
