The 2003 Privateer Renegade 248 is a 24-foot fiberglass center console powered by a 2024 Suzuki DF300APXW5 digital fly-by-wire outboard with 70 hours of runtime and a seven-year factory warranty. This boat combines original construction with significant recent investments in core systems and equipment.
The boat accommodates fishing and cruising with a leaning post featuring an integrated livewell, a custom Engel cooler with cushion, and a rear bench seat. An aluminum T-top with six rocket launchers provides shade and rigging capability. The console includes a Lowrance 9-inch GPS and fishfinder, Icom VHF radio, two marine speakers, Lenco trim tabs, and a Maxwell windlass with helm control. A Minn Kota Terrova 112-pound trolling motor with iPilot and remote handles precision positioning.
Recent upgrades include a new Suzuki outboard and its installation (2024), complete rewiring and new fuse panel with battery switch (2025), new helm and steering components (2024), and new house and starting batteries (2024). The hull's original gel coat remains in good condition with fresh Sea Hawk Cukote bottom paint applied in 2024. The floor received partial replacement in 2013 with a new fuel tank; a small soft spot exists near the bow. New console enclosure and spray shields were installed in 2025, along with a Sunbrella front console cover. The 62-gallon fuel capacity supports extended outings.
A 2003 Loadmaster aluminum trailer is included, equipped with new Dexter torsion axles (2022), galvanized wheels with Load Range D tires (2025), Dexter Vortex hubs (2024–2025), winch, safety chains, spare tire, and guide posts.
